Bale Raising is Nov 28

My bale raising is on Saturday, November 28.  That's the day we stack the bales in the walls.  Should be a fun day, but I'm looking for volunteers to help.  Accept the Facebook event here, or send me an email if you want to come.

Main floor is poured

The workshop / garage has looked like this for a while, but I haven't posted a pic for a while so here it is.  My truck in the foreground.

This hut will eventually (next week?) sit on top of the house as a bit of a tower.  It was conceived as a bit of a light monitor window to brighten up the loft.

The front porch.  The east end of the porch had the ceiling planks installed today.  If you look carefully, you can just see a pancake box recessed into one of the rafters.

The site at the end of the day.  I spent a good chunk of this week cleaning up the site, so you'd better appreciate how tidy it looks.

Moving website

Hi all, I've decided to move my strawbale building website, formerly at http://rempel.ca/strawbaled, onto Blogspot or Blogger or whatever it's called.  My old blog was hosted on Drupal 6 software that I had to maintain myself, and it just got to be too much, especially after one update broke some functionality.  After months of no posts, I figure I'll just host it here instead.
